JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Title:  TUTOR                                                                                      File 313       

 

Reports to:          Assigned administrator/supervisor

 

Job Objective:     Plans, implements and assesses student learning experiences.

 

Minimum         

Qualifications: 

 

Essential         1.  Maintains a thorough understanding of subject matter and

Functions:       pedagogy.  Organizes subject content and learning goals that

                        support high levels of student achievement.

 

     English Language Learner Program  (TESOL credentials/experience preferred.)

 

     Gifted/Talented Program  (Gifted credentials/experience preferred.)

 

     Reading Program  (K-12 reading endorsement and experience with specialized reading

     programs)

 

     Special Education Program  (K-12 reading endorsement/experience required.)

 

      Title I Program  (Highly Qualified Teacher status required.  K-12 reading endorsement

      desired.)

  1.   Maintains open/effective communications.  Serves as a reliable information resource.
  1.   Pursues opportunities to enhance personal performance.
  1.   Takes precautions to protect student and staff safety.  Helps supervisors manage risks.
